I guess 'normal' is just what you get used to. When the pieces of your life are thrown up in the air the pattern is never the way it was before.
My vote was for 72 - the birth of psychedelic Americana, when they really began to move forward into a whole new epoch of music making - the transition from the unbridled energy of youth to the focus of early maturity. The best time.
In order to answer your Steal Your Face question I'll have to hunt through the garage and find the album - it's been a good few years since I listened to that one. I'll get back to you on that.
