It works...the directions can be slightly misleading. Once you have uploaded the files, click that link. It's an on-page toggle that will bring up the right set of forms for you to name your fileset to LMA standards.
After you click that, it should switch to three fields - one for the band abbreviation, one for the date, and one optional one for any other identifying stuff you want (flac16, sbd.flac24, schoeps.shnf, etc.)
Once you fill those out, it should assign you an identifier based on what you've entered, and then you can hit "Share My Files" to finish the upload.
